Taneka Sheree Johnson, 39 of Poarch, AL. passed away January 29, 2020 in Mobile, AL. She was born in Houston, TX on June 27, 1980. She is preceded in death by her grandmother Helen Burkett and she was an avid New Orleans Saints Fan. She worked at Z-Tell in Atmore for a few years, food services and prepared taxes.
She is survived by her parents Brenda (Wesley) Gardner of Poarch, AL. and Thinh Tong of Houston, TX. She had one brother; two sisters Amanda (Scott) Flowers of Mexia, AL. and Emily Godwin (Austin Risher) of Uriah, AL. Nieces and nephews Ashton Flowers, Chase Flowers, Raiden Risher, Emma Risher and many family and friends.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 1, 2020 at 2 PM at the Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Joe Gipson officiating. Burial will follow in Serenity Gardens Cemetery in Atmore, AL.
Active pallbearers will be Shay Gipson, Daniel Creel, Justin Kindrick, Sam Ward, Shane Ward Shawn Ward, Allen Hall and Joe Clay Howard. Honorary pallbearers will be Chase Flowers and Raiden Risher.
Visitation will be held Friday, January 31, 2020 from 6 PM until 8 PM at the Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home.
Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
