Agnes Alene Howard, age 89, of Spencer, TN., passed from this life on Wednesday, January 29, 2020, at her home.
She was born Friday, June 6, 1930 in Spencr, TN., and was the daughter of the late Homer and Thelia Passons Crain. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husbands, John Sam Mills, and Walter Howard; two sisters, Sophie Hale, and Ellen Crain; two brothers, Hobart Crain, and Homer "Junior" Crain; and a daughter- in- law, Pat Mills.
She was a member of the Church of God.
Survivors include daughters, Linda Tobitt, and Donna Bumbalough and husband Jim; son, Sammy Mills; sister, Betty Jean Madewell; brother, Charles Crain; grandchildren, Tim Tobitt and wife Amy, Danny Lee and wife Shawna, Tonya McCulley and husband Bill, Stacy Mills and wife Crystal, Tonya Mills and husband Titus, and Cody Mills and wife Morgan; fourteen great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends also survive.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Spencer Funeral Home with Darrell Nance officiating. Interment will be in Spencer Town Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Friday, January 31, 2020, and again on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Spencer Funeral Home.
