Doug was a lifelong resident of Mt. Sterling and retired from A.O. Smith and Doublestar Corp. He was of the Christian faith, loved playing golf and was a gun enthusiast. He enjoyed sports of all kinds and was a lifelong UK Basketball fan. Doug loved his friends and family, the time they had together and will be missed by all of them.

He is survived by one son, Waylon Chandler (Wendy) of Mt. Sterling; two grandchildren, Morghan Chandler of South Korea and Caleb Chandler of Winchester; two brothers, Jimmy Chandler of Cadiz, Kentucky and Tommy Chandler of Mt. Sterling; four sisters, Joan Shepherd (Craig), Phyllis Justice (Alan), Teresa Chandler all of Mt. Sterling and Becky Vinson (Eddie) of Lexington; and numerous nieces & nephews, great nieces & nephews and extended family. Doug is also survived by his life partner, Pam Bartley of Melbourne, and her children, Bradley Bartley of Mt. Sterling, Carla Haas (Brad) of Melbourne; her grandchildren, Delilah Haas and Jesse Haas, both of Melbourne and Braylee Bartley of Mt. Sterling and her extended family.

In addition to his parents, Doug was preceded in death by one daughter, Katherine Elaine Chandler.

There will be a private Memorial Service held at Coffman Funeral Home & Crematory.
