Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Robert Greer (Bob) Decker, 83, went to be with the Lord on Sunday morning, January 19, 2020.

He was born in Grand Rapids to William and Mayme Decker.

Bob loved all things outdoors, hunting, fishing, and camping. He was a great handy-man, if he couldn't fix or modify it, it probably wasn't meant to be. "Bob's Birdhouses" can be seen at many residences in the Alto-Lowell area. He made many friends through this hobby. He loved restoring old equipment such as tractors and making them like new again. Bob was proud to have served his country in the USMC, signing up after leaving South High.

He will be greatly missed by many friends and family members, but most of all by his wife of 50 years, Mary; his children, Bob Decker, Craig (Laura) Decker, and Kelly Stickler (Richard Foster), seven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren (the newest one born the day before Bob passed, but he got to see pictures and was delighted!), brothers-in-law, James (Nancy) Archer, and John Archer.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter, Donna, brother, Roger Decker, and his former wife and mother of his children, Marilyn, with whom he and Mary maintained a good friendship.

The family will greet visitors on Wednesday, January 22, from 5 - 8 pm and Thursday, January 23, from 10 - 11 am at Stroo Funeral Home, where the funeral service will begin at 11 am. Interment will be in Grandville Cemetery. If desired, memorials to the Humane Society of West Michigan, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Veterans Home would be appreciated.
