Brother of Mrs. Katherine Cooper of Bayside, Mrs. Madeline Watkins of San Lorenzo, Mrs. Gertrude Mollier of Orleans, Mrs. Mazie Hiner of San Francisco, Mrs. Joyce Clarke of Eureka, Frederick Wilder of Happy Camp, Llewellyn Wilder of Orleans, Alton Wilder of Sonora, Warren Wilder of Chiloquin, Oregon, and Harry Wilder of Modesto. Uncle of Mrs. Joanne Costa of Eureka.

A veteran of World War II, he had been awarded the Silver Star for gallantry in service. He had been employed as a woodsman for the Rocklin Lumber Co. prior to his illness. A native of California, age 47.

Services will be held at Sanders Funeral Home Friday, December 13, at 1:30 p.m. with Reverend Ethan Whitman of the Presbyterian Church of Orleans officiating. Interment will be in the Service Star Legion plot of Ocean View Cemetery under the auspices of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of Eureka.
