After losing several children at very young ages, they moved to Powershiek Co., Iowa. William d. in 1878 and Nancy was living with daughter Mary and her husband Alfred Barnes in the 1880 Census . It is believed she died about 1885 while they still loved in Iowa. No record of her death or burial has been located, but it probable that she was buried with her husband at the Beason Pioneer Cemetery.
