Sara Lydie Heiner, 77, Bedford, died on May 31, 1985 in the Parkview Hospital in Idaho Falls, Idaho of a cerebral hemorrhage.
Funeral services were conducted Monday June 3 at the Bedford LDS Ward Chapel under the direction of Bp. Floyd Skinner. Interment was in the Bedford Cemetery.
Sara was born April 27, 1906 to Albert and Bertha Richenback in Bedford Wyo. the second of seven children. At age 13 her family moved to Montpelier, Idaho to farm. Two years later they moved to Payson to assist her father's brother's family after he died. At age 17 her family returned to Bedford, where she met Joseph A. Heiner. They were married on Aug 11, 1926 in the Logan LDS Temple.
They bought part of the Charles G. Heiner's farm then began farming and raising a family. They resided at the farm their entire married lives and raised three boys and two girls. Aside form being a wife and mother, Sara worked as a cook for the hunting camps.
She was a member of the LDS Church serving in the MIA, Primary and as a Sunday School teacher for many years.
Surviving her death is her husband, Joseph A. Heiner; sons Charles G. R,L. and Joseph Heiner, Jr. all of Bedford; daughter Gayle Chadwick of Ukiah, Calif31 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; sisters Margret Heiner, Deloris and Elda Suter.
Preceding her in death were her parents, one brother Joe Rickenback, one daughter Theriva Longhurst and one great grandson Ken Merritt.
