After many years of failing health Glenn W. Heiner died at his home in Thayne on Aug 4, 1996 at 5:20 a.m. In his final days he was surrounded by the love and affection of his entire family. The memories shared in these last precious hours will be cherished and held dear.
On Jan 2, 1926 Glenn was born to Robert Charles and Sylvia Heiner. His brothers and sisters included Lenord, LaVere, Glenna Alean, Delbert and Morris.
Working with his hands was one of his many talents. Riding his Harley Davidson and flying his Cessena 210 were enjoyable pastimes, along with fishing and camping, although he enjoyed his wonderful wife of 48 years and his 11 children more than anything in the world.
In his early years he served his country by joining the Navy.
Glenn was Christlike by caring for everyone and always willing to donate his time, talents and possessions. His knowledge of the gospel was only surpassed by his love for the Savior Jesus Christ.
With love and harmony Glenn and Maxine raised six sons Dan, Quinn Deon, Evan, Todd and Stacey Heiner and five daughters Irene Mills, Roseann DeMill, Diana Flud, Tina Clark and Tracy Wolfley.
Glenn and Maxine were blessed with 30 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
They cherish memories of all that he has done.
