Born on March 1, 1973 in Candelaria, S. Miguel. He was the son of Maria Lurdes Aguiar of Fall River and the late Manuel Aguiar of Ponta Delgada, S. Miguel.
Joe spent most of his life residing in the Attleboro-Taunton area. Most recently, he worked as a logistics manager at Vetta Jewelry Inc. His most recent pilgrimage to Madjugorje provided him with great faith during his time of need. If God had given him another opportunity, he would have returned. He loved birds, cars, sports, and most especially, his family.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his three sisters, Teresa Furtado, of Swansea, MA and her husband Joe, Ana Alves, of Taunton, MA and her husband Messias Vasconcelos, and Celeste Pereira of Taunton, MA and her husband Mateus; his niece, Jennifer deMatos; his nephews, Derek Alves, Jason Pereira, Kevin Furtado, and Kyle Furtado; his great-niece Amelia Pereira; he was also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation from 8-11:15 a.m. on Monday, December 23rd at the Duffy-Poule Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. in the St. John the Evangelist Church, 133 North Main St., Attleboro.
Burial will follow in the St. John’s Cemetery, West St., Attleboro.
