ROBERT PAUL ROOP, 68, of Lima, died at 7:08 p.m. Friday at St. Rita's Medical Center.
Mr. Roop was born May 15, 1919, in Lima, the son of Amos and Alma Coon Roop.
A retired warehouse worker for J. M. Sealts Co., Mr. Roop was a member of the Eagles Lodge and was active in many bowling leagues in Lima.
Survivors include one daughter, Raylene [sic-Rayleen] Roop of Lima; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother, Willard Roop of Troy; three sisters, Boneda Miller of Wintersville, Mrs. George (Dorothy) Wilson of Lima and Mrs. Richard (Mary) Courtney of San Bernardino, Calif.; and a person with who he made his home for the past 17 years, Dorothy Keeling.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Siferd Westwood Chapel, Rev. John Medaugh officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
