Jerry Allen Loper 80 of Bentonville passed away December 25, 2019 surrounded by his family in Bentonville. He was born May 3, 1939 in Long Prairie, Minnesota the son of Harley Leech and Barbara “Ann” Pemberton. Jerry was a machinist for P.G.I. and worked for BEMCO in Centerton for 11 years. He was a member of the Pea Ridge Freewill Baptist Church and he also enjoyed repairing automobiles. He is preceded in death by his parents, one son Dennis Loper, four brothers Jimmie, Raymond, Bobby and Ronnie Loper.
He is survived by his wife Iva Holliday Loper of the home; children Jimmy Loper and wife Melva of Centerton, Kenny Loper and wife Rhonda and Karen Edwards all of Bentonville; his siblings John Loper of Prairie Grove, Betty Johnson of Willis, Texas and Lori of Missouri; ten grandchildren, twenty five great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services 1:00 p.m. Monday; December 30, 2019 at the Pea Ridge Freewill Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the Bentonville Cemetery. Visitation 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Sunday at Benton County Funeral Home, 306 N. 4th in downtown Rogers.
