She was a graduate of Hillsboro High School and MTSU.
She taught for years for Metro Parks Arts Department, teaching adults and children all aspects of art. Cindy was instrumental in the installation of the 200-foot-long colorful, mosaic-tiled sea serpent, the centerpiece of the Fannie Mae Dees Park, better known as the Dragon Park. Helping lay tiles and coordinating volunteers.
She is preceded in death by her father Henry Tinsley and grandparents Hazel and Roger Cullum. She will be greatly missed by her husband Ted Abutrab, mother Jane Tinsley, brother Ed Tinsley, sister Babs Freeman (Bill) and her nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
A graveside service at Woodlawn Cemetery for family, will be 2 pm Friday December 20, 2019 .
