Sylvia's mother was also named Sylvia; her mother died 10 days after her birth. The baby passed away at 4mos. of age in September. My 2nd GGR was the older sister of little Sylvia; my 2nd Great Grandmother being Eliza Jane Murdock. Eliza Jane was only 2 when her mother and little sister died. Eliza lived (1858-1929) the only surviving child of the union between Lyman Murdock and Sylvia Elizabeth Kelsey. Two other children born before Eliza, Lyman and Ethan also did not survive.
