Roberta A. Zygarlowski , former Yonkers resident and business owner, passed away on January 20, 2012.

Roberta was born and raised in Virginia and moved to New York in 1970. She met her husband of 37 years, Carl "Ziggy" Zygarlowski, in 1974.

In May of 1984, Roberta and Ziggy opened a few businesses on McLean Avenue in Yonkers – one being the famous Roberta's Video City. Many residents of Yonkers will remember Roberta working the front counter of the video store with her husband, recommending the latest movies and games to her loyal customers. In May of 2007, after 23 years of business, Roberta's Video City closed its' doors and Roberta and Ziggy moved out of Yonkers to start new ventures.

Roberta is survived by her loving husband Ziggy, daughter Victoria, son-in-law Robert and grandchildren, Brandon and Samantha. Roberta's family will always remember her as the loving, thoughtful and beautiful person she was. They will carry and keep her in their hearts forever.

Friends and family can visit at the Flynn Memorial Home on Sunday, January 22nd and Monday, January 23rd from the hours of 5:00 to 9:00 PM.

There will be a funeral service at the funeral home on Tuesday, January 24th at 10:00AM.

Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, 209 Truman Avenue, Yonkers New York 10703.
