Raymond Abbott Sr., 71, of Bedford, KY peacefully passed away on Sunday, December 8, 2019 at his Trimble County residence with his beloved family by his side. He was born on May 18, 1948 to the late Samuel Ervin and Martha Jane Combs Abbott in Shelbyville, KY.
Raymond enjoyed collecting, loved hunting, gardening, motorcycles. His greatest joy in life was his beloved family.
He leaves to mourn his passing, his loving wife of sixteen years, Inge Smothers Abbott of Bedford, KY; his children, Raymond Abbott, Jr. and his wife Cathy of Milton, KY, Chris Abbott and his wife Amanda of Milton, KY, Michelle Madsen and her husband Kevin, of Indianapolis, IN; his siblings, Chester Abbott of Campbellsburg, KY, Patricia Roberts and her husband Dennis of Campbellsburg, KY, Carol Sue Hettinger and her husband Tony of Crestwood, KY, Melvin Abbott and his wife Tammy of Buckner, KY; six grandchildren, Justin Raymond Abbott, James Christopher Abbott, Samantha Adrian Madsen, Noah Napier, Makayla Jane Abbott and Charlie Abbott; with many loving family and friends all of whom will miss him dearly.
Raymond is preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Samuel Eugene Abbott; one son, Timothy W. Breeden.
