In 1855 W A Poston married his 2nd wife Elizabeth A. There is a marriage record for 1-17-1855 for William Poston to Elizabeth Torrence. Elizabeth was also a widow, her first husband having been Joseph A Torrence. Her maiden name was Hobbs (dau. of Jesse) although the death certificate of one her sons gives her maiden name as Hoke. Elizabeth A was born 12-22-1831 and died 11-28-1877.She is buried at 4th Creek burying ground.

On 12-5-1878 William married his 3rd wife, Rebecca Powers (nee Morrow), daughter of George & Eliza Morrow, born 2/1838. They had no children.
