The bodies of six-year-old Tiana Djurasovic and her 10-year-old sister Mia were found about 6pm on Friday at their Madeley home on Bogdanich Way.
The girls’ 38-year-old mother was found more than two hours later at the Whitfords beach car park with self-inflicted injuries.
The mother of two young sisters found dead in their West Australian home has been charged with murder.
Police confirmed the 38-year-old mother of sisters Mia, 10, and Tiana, 6, was charged with two counts of murder this afternoon.
She will appear at Stirling Gardens Court tomorrow.
The two Djurasovic sisters were found dead at their home in Madeley, 20km north of Perth, at around 6pm on Friday.
The girls’ father Nenad Djurasovic is believed to have made the horrific discovery after returning home from work. Police have not revealed how they died.
WA Police Assistant Commissioner Paul Steel said the mother of the girls, Milka Djurasovic was arrested at a beach at Kallaroo — 11km away a few hours later.
Ms Djurasovic, a registered nurse, remains in hospital under police guard with “self-inflicted non-life threatening injuries”.
