Timothy F. “Tim” Lyons, age 84, US Navy Veteran, of Willow Springs, formerly of Bronx, NY. Beloved husband of Mary Lyons (nee Ferraro) for a wonderful 59 years. Loving father of Jackie (Vince) LaRocca, the late Tim Jr., John (Cheryl) Lyons, Nancy (John) Zea, Noreen (Steve) Fuernstahl, and Nicole Lyons. Devoted Papa of Nicholas, Vincent, Ethan, Elyse, Tony, Andrew, Alex, Jacob, and Justin. Dear brother of 4. Cherished uncle and friend of many. Tim served in the Navy from 1955-1957 and was a proud member of the American Legion. He loved the New York Yankees. Above all, he loved spending time with his grandchildren. Memorial visitation 3pm until time of memorial service 7pm Wednesday, November 6th at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 1025 W. 55th St., Countryside. Family and friends are invited to meet directly at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, 20953 W. Hoff Rd., Elwood, IL 60421 for military honors and interment Thursday, November 7th. Time forthcoming
