Obituary for Ms. Rose Lee Hughes
Rose Lee Hughes was born on August 25, 1946,
to the union of Pearl and Joe Hughes in New Madrid,
Missouri. She received her formal education at Belle City
High School in Belle City, Missouri.
Rose accepted Christ as her Savior and was united
with New Direction Church where she was a faithful
member and mother to all.
Rose was a nursing assistant and in her leisure she
enjoyed watching game shows and westerns, loved to work
her crossword puzzles and attending church.
Rose Lee Hughes departed this life on August 31,
2019. She was preceded in death by her father, Joe
Hughes; mother, Pearl Hughes; and sister, Eunice Davis.
She leaves to cherish her memory: sisters, Jolene
Gay and Francis Wright; daughter, Ronella (Brian); and
sons, Arlen (April); Louis (Erica), Brian (Tami), Orlando
(Ahronda) and Frank (Sharner). Rose was loved by many
and will be greatly missed by her 23 grandchildren, 10
great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews,
relatives and friends to cherish her memory.
