William F. Ahearn, 81, a longtime resident of St. Clair Shores, died Tuesday, July 3, 2007, in Bon Secours Hospital, Grosse Pointe. He was born Nov. 19, 1925, in Detroit.
Mr. Ahearn retired after 28 years of employment as a sales representative for Michigan Mutual Insurance Co. He was a member of St. Gertrude Church and VFW Bruce Post 1146, both in St. Clair Shores. He served in the U.S. Army-Air Force in the Asia-Pacific Theater during World War II.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Veronica; sons, Gregory (Jan) and Steven (Chari DeMarc); sister, Therese (Michael Jackson); and grandchildren, Amberlee, Jeffrey, Gregory, Stevi, Marissa and Steven.

He was predeceased by his sons, Brian and William; and sister, Mary Duprey.

A funeral service will be held at noon Saturday at St. Gertrude Church, 28839 Jefferson, St. Clair Shores.

Visitation is 11:30 a.m.-noon Saturday at the church.

Arrangements were directed by Kaul Funeral Home, St. Clair Shores.
