John W. Poulter, III of Waxahachie passed away on Friday, October 11, 2019, at the age of 75.

Born in Dallas, Texas on July 10, 1944 to Evelyn Maurine Poulter and John W. Poulter, II, he was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

John attended Irving High School and served in the U.S. Air Force for four years. After leaving the Air Force, John took a journeyman position at Dallas Power & Light / TU Electric where he worked as an electrician for 28 years until retiring as a Foreman. He later worked 8 years as an electrician at DFW before retiring. John was an avid golfer and spent his afternoons and weekends at the Waxahachie Country Club where he was a member for nearly 40 years.

John was preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Christopher Dahl, Buda, Texas.

Forever cherishing their memory of him are his loving wife of 18 years, Tina Bohlman Poulter of Waxahachie, Texas; seven children: Renee Dahl of Buda, Texas, Kim (Mark) Comire of Royce City, Texas, Glenda Boyett of Quinlan, Texas, Tina (Scott) Costley of Katy, Texas, John (Christi) Poulter of Georgetown, Texas, Laci Poulter of Austin, Texas, and Joe Dan (Leigh Ann) Poulter of Lubbock, Texas; two step children Alana Baker, Edmond, Oklahoma and Chris Bray, Aurora, Colorado; twenty-one grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and his younger brother, Larry (Susan) Poulter, San Antonio, Texas.

Friends and family are encouraged to gather for a time of visitation on Monday, October 14, 2019 from 6 to 8 in the evening at Wayne Boze Funeral Home. Services celebrating John's life will be held at 11 o'clock in the morning in the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
