Claire Ann (Cornell) Baldasarre
BALDASARRE, CLAIRE ANN, (CORNELL), 65, of Leisure Drive, died Saturday at Women & Infants Hospital, Providence, surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife of Michael A. Baldasarre, (Ret. Lt. PFD). They had been married for thirty-five years.
Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Charles A. and Ethel A. (McCutcheon) Cornell, she lived in the Mount Pleasant section of Providence most of her life before moving to South Kingstown six years ago.
Claire was a telephone operator for the New England Telephone Company for over thirty years, retiring in 1994. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of North America.
She was a communicant of Saint Francis of Assisi Church, Wakefield.
Besides her husband Mike, she leaves two daughters, Lori L. Wentworth and her husband Charles, Susan A. May and her husband Corey, all of South Kingstown; a brother, Charles E. Cornell, (Ret. Lt. PFD) of Cranston; and six grandchildren, Tatum, Jack, and Ava Wentworth; Michael, Matthew and Christopher May.
The funeral will be held Thursday, at 8:30 am, from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Road, (Rt.117) Warwick. Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Saint Francis of Assisi Church, 114 High Street, Wakefield. Burial will be in Saint Francis Cemetery, Wakefield. Visiting hours Wednesday, 4-8 pm.
