Obituary of Sarah Moore Bragg
Sarah C. Bragg was born March 15th 1839, in Mercer county, Ohio, and departed this life Monday morning June 24th 1907, aged 68 years, 3 months and 9 days.
She was united in Marriage to Daniel S. Bragg, March 5th 1872. She is survived by her shuband, one sister and three brothers. Early in life she gave her heart to God, accepted His promises, and united with the M. P. church, where she has always a faithful, consistent and devoted member until her death.
Mrs. Bragg was a woman modest, kind and loving in dispositiion. Her smiling face and hearty handshake revealed in her a true friend. Her friendship was genuine and constant. She was a woman above all of a deeply religious and spiritual nature.
In her family she was a model wife and sister, as well as a faithful follower of her Lord. She will be greaatly mourned and missed by her loved ones. "Sister's" place is now vacant in the home and church, yet she is embalmed in loving hearts which bow to the will of the Master, knowing that "All things work together for good to them that love God."
On Sunday morning, "Sister" took us by the hand and said, "I am going home to Jesus." Yes she has gone to sleeep. After those unutterable nights of wakefulness, she sleeps in pease. The tired hadns can fold over her bosom, the swollen arm need feel no more the surgeon's knife. The bitter night has faded before the eternal day of paradise.
We are glad "Sister" is to spend an eternal life in the sunshine of the Glory Home, where there is no more grieving or pain.
We have received the uplift of your spotless life among us and we realize there these earthly days be they few or lengthened out to three score and ten, are but the stepping stone upward to the realms where begin the larger life and fuller achievement; then we shall understand all things, and rejoice as we see in the fitting together of sunlight and shadow unto one eternal structure that truly God is love.
