Clarence Edward Rowe b. Ap. 30, 1893 near Pioneer, Iowa and was the third son of Percy Augustus Rowe and Florence May Knowles. He moved with his parents in the spring of 1907 to Lake Park, Iowa.
On October 8, 1913 in Spirit Lake, Iowa he married Zelma Arena Schmuck (19 yrs.) of Lake Park, IA. Clarence Edward Rowe was 20 yrs. old at the time.
They had 2 daughters: Florence and Carol.
Cause of death: Influenza (Avion flu) followed by Pneumonia
2 daughters:
1. Florence Isabella Rowe b. Oct. 29, 1914 d. Sept 3, 1960 (heart attack)
m. Joseph W. Pannell b. 1912 three children
2. Carol Elaine Rowe b. Oct.10, 1917 m. Nuel Francis Higley.
He left to morn his father, Percy and mother, Florence his wife and two daughters, five brothers, two sisters and his brother in law, Clyde Smuch, who had made his home with him most of the time for several years.
Funeral services were held at the home west of Lake Park, being short and held outdoors, owing to the prevailing epidemic, and there were many at Silver Lake Cemetery to see the body laid to rest.
