Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Plaisance, LA for Mr. Hayes Joseph Carmouche, Sr., 88, who entered eternal rest on Monday, September 23, 2019 at his residence surrounded by family and loved ones and in the comfort care of Hospice of Acadiana.
Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Plaisance, LA.
Hayes leaves to cherish his memory and celebrate his legacy, children, Harold Carmouche Sr. (Cheryl) of Plaisance LA, Frank Carmouche of Houston TX, Waver Eaglin (Gabriel) of Opelousas LA, Larry Carmouche Sr. (Glinda) of Opelousas LA, Wayne Carmouche (Alice) of Plaisance, LA, Lionel Carmouche (Rhoda) of Opelousas LA, Carolann Gardiner (Lawrence) of Houston TX, Gregory Carmouche of Houston TX, Stanley Carmouche (Alaundra) of Houston TX, Kimberly Carmouche (Patrick) of Houston TX, Roslyn Jackson (Clyde) of Beaumont, TX, Roxanne Carmouche of Opelousas, LA and Gary Carmouche (Tracey) of Opelousas LA.
He also leaves behind to celebrate his life, 48 grandchildren and 70 great-grandchildren and 2 great great-grandchildren.
Mr. Carmouche was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Carmouche, a son, Hayes, Jr.; and a grandchild Jerome Carmouche, a great great-granddaughter, as well as, his parents Mr. and Mrs. Theophile and Bertha Carmouche.
Visiting hours will be observed from 8:00 A.M. to 10:45 A.M., Saturday, October 5, 2019 at St. Joseph Catholic Church.
