Cookie had a rough life. She began life on a chain and lost several teeth from chewing on it. She was dropped off at a shelter in Johnson City after having a litter of puppies. When I saw her at Brother Wolf she was so sad and so protective of her stuffed toy. She enjoyed pretending to be ferocious to get people's attention and then cuddling up to them. She endured a lot of torment from all the other dogs we fostered and adopted but there was no doubt she was the ruling dog in our pack. She had several surgeries to remove mast cell tumors and also had her gall bladder removed. In the end the tumors came back and she was barely able to walk or breathe comfortably.
