MISS CANDACE DAWN VEACH of Old Town passed away Sunday, September 4, 2005 at Shands of UF following a traffic accident. She was 18 years old. Candace moved to Old Town in 1994 from St. Petersburg where she was born. She was a senior at Dixie County High School where she was a member of Teen Court, FBLA, Dixie County High School Band, where she played clarinet, and the Color Guard Squad.

She is survived by her mother and step-father, Elizabeth and Clinton McCray of Old Town; father, Timothy Veach of St. Petersburg; sisters, Crystal Baxley and Danielle Veach, both of Old Town; maternal grandparents, Harold and Janet Blydenburgh of Old Town and Luther Price of Old Town; several aunts and uncles and 1 nephew.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, September 9, 2005 at 3:00 pm at the First Baptist Church of Cross City with Rev. Mike Brown and Rev. Royce Hanshew officiating. Burial will follow at Rock Sink Cemetery in Old Town.

Arrangements are under the care of the Rick Gooding Funeral Home, Cross City, FL 352-498-5400.
