Ericka Neshea Brewer was born in Troup County, Georgia on August 21, 1981 to Cynthia Ward Coley and the late Gary H. Brewer.
She grew up in Atlanta, Georgia, where she attended Shamrock Middle School and graduated from Southwest DeKalb High School. Ericka later obtained her Bachelor of Science in Biology/Pre-Med from The Fort Valley State University, and then her Master of Public Health, Prevention Science from Emory University Rollins School of Public Health.
Ericka worked as a Clinical Research Associate for the past three and a half years. She was also co-owner of The K.E.Y. Event Planning Company and enjoyed decorating and planning events.
She was full of beauty and grace, and fiercely loyal to her friends and family. Ericka accepted Christ during her adolescent years, and as an adult, attended House of Hope Atlanta regularly. She walked in the wisdom and favor of God and her faith was unmatched. Ericka always offered a word of encouragement and backed it up with scripture.
Ericka was a lover of fashion and enjoyed singing, dancing, and listening to music. She was funny, outgoing and vivacious, and brightened any room she entered. Ericka loved to laugh and her comedic humor kept everyone entertained. Ms. “Selfie Queen” was not a stranger to the camera and loved capturing memories. We will always remember her infectious smile and caring personality. Her presence in our lives will be sorely missed.
On Friday, September 6, 2019; a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin and friend, Ericka Neshea Brewer left this world unexpectedly, at the age of thirty-eight in Snellville, Georgia. Ericka was preceded in death by her father, Gary H. Brewer.
