LABON PORCHE

Labon Joseph Porche, 59, a World War II veteran, died 4 p.m. today. Visitation will be from 7 - 11 p.m. today at Chauvin Funeral Home, resuming 8 a.m. Wednesday and continuing until funeral time. The funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Bourg, with burial following in the church cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Jeanette Mansfield Porche; a son, Labon Porche Jr. of Raceland; a daughter, Mrs. Barbara Jane Ochello of Algiers; three sisters, Mrs. Hazel (Pat) Halpin of Thibodaux, Mrs. Mazie Holliday of Detroit, Mich., and Mrs. Velma Rita Schreppel of Whiteboro, N.Y.; and five grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Elvira Guidry and Hayes J. Porche; three brothers, Amos, Herbert and Norman Porche; and a sister, Leola Marcel. Chauvin Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
