Former Orient resident Edwin Aanestad died on Monday at J T Mather Memorial Hospital, Port Jefferson. He was 76.

He was born on Nov 20, 1912 in Greenport. At the time of his death, he resided in Oak Hollow NH.

Predeceased by his wife Thelma, he is survived by a son Robert G of Greenport.

Arrangements were made by McLaughlin-Szczepanik Funeral Home of Greenport. A graveside service will be held today at 2 pm at Orient Cemetery.
