82, of Barefoot Bay, FL, passed away on Thursday June 14, 2007. LaVern, a retired tire builder with Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., was an avid hunter and fisherman who loved ice fishing in Michigan where he raised his family. He enjoyed working in his garden and he provided his family with fresh fruits and vegetables. He loved baseball always took in any games that he could. LaVern is survived by his wife, Laura Davis; his children, Barbara Hodgeboom and Jerry Davis; his brother, George E Davis; his sister, Helen L Brown; two grandchildren, Moriah Hodgeboom Autry and David Aaron Hodgeboom of WA; and one great-granddaughter, Selenia Autry. He was preceded in death by his 1st wife, Jaquita June Pennington Davis and brothers Arnold Davis and Howard Davis Jr. A visitation will be held on Sunday, June 17, 2007 form 2 to 4 p.m. at Fountainhead Memorial Funeral Home with funeral services on Monday, June 18, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Fountainhead Memorial Park In Palm Bay, FL.
