Sarah Thomas is buried in Ten Mile Creek Cemetery in Appling, GA. Her surname was Mobley. She was born in 1823 and signed for a Civil War pension in 1905. Her husband was Andrew H. Thomas. He was a member of 47th regiment F company known as the Appling Rangers. Their son, Nathaniel, was in the 27th Regiment I Company known as the Appling Frays. Nathaniel is in the same cemetery. She is listed in the Appling 1850 census as wife of Andrew mother of Nathaniel and John Thomas. My lineage follows John's line to Florida. After the war Andrew died in Florida. She is shown in the 1900 Appling census as living in her son's, Nathaniel, household.
