Jean was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti on July 16, 1959. He immigrated to the United States as a teenager, moving to New Jersey. Upon graduation from high school, he moved to Miami, Florida. Jean met his sweetheart, Nell, whom he married shortly thereafter. Together Nell and Jean have three children, Sabrina, Georges, and Lynda. Jean was truly a loving husband, a supportive father and a sincere friend. Jean was employed as an Enforcement Officer for the former Immigration and Naturalization Services, which is currently I.C.E. (Immigration and Custom Enforcement) of the Homeland Security Department. He was an excellent Officer and a good friend to all of us that worked with him. He was dependable, meticulous, and very respected by his co-workers. Jean's passing on September 6, 2003 came as a tragedy to his family, and co-workers. It is unfortunate that he left our world at a time he was most wanted. He is survived by his wife, Nell, his daughters, Sabrina and Lynda, son, Georges, Joseph DeLance and Yves France Azor, his sisters, Marcelle Saintil and Yve Rose Franklin.
Jean took his own life. He was 44 years old.
