Michael was the son of Vincent Robatin and Johanna Barlik. He was the 8th of their thirteen children. His oldest sister, Maria, was born and died in Nova Lubovna, Slovakia before his parents came to the U.S.

Michael married Irene A. Kovalik on 24 Aug 1963. They had one son and one daughter.

He was a member of the United States Marine Corps for 8 years, serving in both World War II and the Korean War. He was an avid baseball player and fan. He worked as a clerk in the main post office in Cleveland, Ohio for 32 years.

Michael L. Robatin, beloved husband of Irene (nee Kovalik), loving father of Anne-Marie and Thomas, dear brother of Matilda Misley (deceased), Andrew (deceased), Julia Colao, Ann Norris, Mary A. Robatin, Vincent, Veronica Boris, Agatha May, Rose, Dorothy Ewanko and Edward. Services will be held at St. Therese Church at 9:30 a.m. Internment Holy Cross.
