He was born April 27, 1933, in Benton County, a son of Charles and Barbara Knox Patton. On July 3, 1952, he was married to Charletta June Buell, who died in 1991. On May 11, 1994, in Camdenton, he was married to Ruby Louise Briggs, who survives of Lebanon, Mo.
After meeting and marrying his first wife, he moved to Sedalia. He operated Patton's Auto Service for several years. After she died, he owned and operated Chardon's Restaurant. In 1994, he moved to his retirement home in the Linn Creek community.
While living in the Camdenton area, he attended the Seventh- day Adventist Church in Lebanon. In 2004, he was baptized into membership.
In his spare time, he enjoyed being outdoors, gardening and fishing. He also liked relaxing and watching television.
Also surviving are a daughter, Kathy Twenter, and her husband, Terry, of Sedalia; two sons, Rick Patton, and his wife, Teresa, of Houstonia, and Brian Patton, and his wife, Dana, of Holden; a stepdaughter, Dr. Tamila Kindwall, and her husband, Kevin Keller, of Cleveland; a stepson, Anthony Kindwall, and his wife, Christi, of Camdenton; a brother, Warren Patton, of Ontario, Canada; and five grandchildren.
He was predeceased by nine brothers and sisters.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Memorial Park Cemetery in Sedalia, with the Rev. Neil Dye officiating.
