Nicholas Arthur “Nick” Harrison, of Clemmons, North Carolina died on Sunday, July 21, 2019. He was 37 years old. Nick was born in Nashville and raised in Spring Hill, the son of Billy Harrison and Cindy (Don) Quinlisk Jones.

Nick was called to the sport of racing at an early age. Immediately after finishing Spring Hill High School in 2000, he began to pursuit his dreams. Over the years, he has made his family and small town proud by creating quite the name for himself in NASCAR. Nick was currently the crew chief for Justin Haley’s No. 11 Chevrolet in the Xfinity Series. He made his racing debut as an Xfinity crew chief in 2006. He was a crew chief for 184 Xfinity races and had five victories. He worked 120 races as crew chief in the Cup Series with victories there as well. Nick was the Crew Chief for many drivers such as, Steadman Marlin, Sterling Marlin, Austin Dillon, Kurt Bush, Brad Keselowski, Ty Dillon, Kevin Harvick, Paul Menard, Ryan Newman, Chad Chaffin, Jamie McMurray, Jeremy Clements, Landon Cassill, Bobby Lebonte, Bill Elliott, A.J. Allmendinger, Brendan Gaughan, Owen Kelly, Jacques Villeneuve, Regan Smith, Ryan Truex, Mike Bliss, Justin Allgaier, Max Papis and Michael McDowell.

In addition to racing, Nick enjoyed being around his family and friends. He loved people! He was a friend to everyone he met. He had a super, large, fun-loving, personality. He lit up the room with his laugh. Nick enjoyed spending his off-time with his fiancé Nancy and their dog Uno. He also cared deeply for his nieces and nephews. He loved his title as “Uncle Nick” and made sure to help encourage each niece and nephew to follow their passion as he did. Nick valued family. He loved to make people smile. He was a giver. It brought him joy to spoil the people he loved; especially Nancy, his mother, his father, his brothers, and their kids.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ted and Sally Quinlisk and George Harrison and Earline Earwood; uncles, Jerry Quinlisk and Roger Harrison; and aunt Cathy Quinlisk.

Surviving are his fiancé, Nancy Campbell of Gaffney, South Carolina; Parents Billy Harrison and Cindy(Don) Jones of Spring Hill; brothers Zack Harrison and Luke (Pattie Knott) Harrison of Spring Hill; step-sisters Lara Jones and Hillary Stechyn of Columbia; step brother Jacky (Shannon) Jones of Amhurst, Ohio; grandparents Donald(Hazel) Jones of Spring Hill; aunts Karen (Bill) Kinnard of Columbia; Susan (Keith) Isaac of Louisville, KY; uncles Johnny Harrison, Jerry Harrison, Tom (Beverly) Harrison; aunts Lori Harrison and Nancy Quinlisk; beloved nieces and nephews Madalynn Harrsion, Kierston Jeffrey, Austin Harrison, Lucas Harrison, Kurtis Stechyn, Karleigh Stechyn, Jackson Jones, and Jordyn Jones. He is also survived by many close cousins, friends, and his precious dog Uno.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon CST on Tuesday, July 30, 2019 at Spring Hill High School, 1 Raider Ln. Columbia, TN 38401. Visitation with the family will be held from 4-8pm on Monday at Spring Hill Memorial Funeral Home, 5239 Main St. Spring Hill, TN 37174. Visitation will also be held from 10am-12pm on Tuesday at Spring Hill High School.

Mr. Harrison will be buried at Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery in Spring Hill, Tennessee located at 1948 Sugar Ridge Road. Pallbearers will be Andy Brittain, Steadman Marlin, Josh Slater, Paul Caudle, Kyle Louchart, Michael Hammock, Zach Brewer and Kevin Lee.

The family has requested that memorial donations be made to the Nick Harrison Scholarship Fund at First Farmers & Merchants Bank in Spring Hill, TN or Spring Hill Memorial Funeral Home
