Waylon W. Abel, age 30, of Loogootee, passed away Tuesday, August 7, 2012, at 5:30 p.m., at St. Mary's Medical Center, in Evansville, Indiana. He was born on August 12, 1981, in Washington, Indiana. Waylon was employed as a Diesel Mechanic at Schilli Transportation, in Shoals. He will be forever missed by his parents, John and Sandy Abel, of Shoals; fiance, Rene Sipes, of Loogootee; three daughters, Faith Abel, Laken Inman, and Chloe Spencer; two sons, Gabe and Johnny Abel; brothers, Derek and Mandy Wininger, of Louisiana, and Cody and Sarah Abel, of Washington, and Joshua Lemon, of Vincennes; sisters, Jessica and Brian Asher, of Sandborn, Beth Abel and her fiance, John Way, of Shoals; maternal grandmother, Diane Bridenbaugh, of Washington; paternal grandparents, George and Bernadette Abel, of Washington; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Ernie Bridenbaugh. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the Dover Hill Church of Christ in Christian Union on Saturday, August 18th, at 1:30 p.m., with visitation from 10:30 a.m. until the Celebration of Life at the church. Burial will be made in the Spring Hill Cemetery, at Shoals. Queen-Lee Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
