Mrs. C. E. GRISHAM, A NOBLE CHRISTIAN, CALLED UP HIGHER

Many friends throughout this section mourn the death of Mrs. Myrtle Onie Grisham, beloved wife of C. E. Grisham. of Blue Ridge. The end came on Friday afternoon, November 2, 1937, at 12:40 o'clock, after six weeks of serious illness that confined the sufferer to her bed at the family home. Mrs. Grisham's state of health had been unsatisfactory for some six months and during this time every effort had been made for her recovery.

Funeral rites for Mrs. Grisham were held at the Blue Ridge Baptist Church on Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock with Rev. Floyd Hill of May and Rev. John D. West, of Hamilton officiating in the impressive ceremonies. A choir of friends of Mrs. Grisham sang the songs that she loved most and joined others in singing in worship of the Father whom she devoutly served throughout her beautiful life.

The body of Mrs. Grisham was laid to rest in the Blue Ridge cemetery and the mound was heaped with beautiful flowers. Friends who served as pallbearers and flower girls were Tom Walton, Will O'Bannon, Roy Wood, Preston O'Bannon, George Perry, Clyde Gardner, Nelda Hohertz, Freddie O'Bannon, Hazel Drake, Florene Wood, Cleo O'Bannon, Carol Hibits, Cleo Perry, Mary Lyndell Gardner, and Evelyn Dill.

Though the record of a life may be brief, the history of such an one as Mrs. Grisham, faithfully recorded in the Book of life would cover many pages. She beautifully fulfilled the mission of creation. Myrtle Onie Deathrage was born in McNairy County, Tennessee, October 21, 1883.
