Mae is still alive as of June 1, 2019. She celebrated her 101 birthday this past January 11, 2019. She will be buried along side of her husband when she does pass.

There will be a private family burial at Guilford Memorial Park.
Mae was born on January 11, 1918 in Watauga County to the late Simon and Lucinda Lawrence Townsend. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Greensboro.
In addition to her parents Mae was preceded in death by her husband, Vern Arrington.
She is survived by her brother, Arlis L. Townsend and wife Annah as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
