LYNN MARINE PFC. ERIC FISHER KILLED IN VIETNAM FIGHTING

A Lynn Marine who had been in Vietnam just six weeks has been killed in action.
Pfc. Eric Anders Fisher, 18, son of Mrs. Marguerite (Anderson) Fisher and the late George F. Fisher, was killed Sunday after sustaining gunshot wounds during an engagement with enemy forces near the Loation border about 24 miles southwest of Quang Tri, South Vietnam.
Pfc. Fisher, who was assigned to the 3rd Marine Division, enlisted in the Marine Corps last June shortly after graduation from English High in 1968. He received basic training at Parris Island S.C. and advanced training at Camp LeJeune, N.C.
He also leaves a brother, Bruce G. Fisher of Lynn and a grandfather, Adolph W. Anderson of St. Petersburg, Fla., formerly of Lynn.
Services will be held at the First Lutheran on a date to be announced.
