Patty A. Barnes, age 68, passed away Saturday, June 16, 2007. Patty retired from Ohio Bell after 41 years of service. She was a loving grandmother, a devoted friend and family member as well as an avid O.S.U. fan. Preceded in death by parents Roscoe and Blanche (Davis) Barnes, brothers Ray and Donnie Barnes, sister Karen Barnes. Survived by son, Aaron Barnes; granddaughter, Haley Barnes; daughter–in-law, Kristy (Arndt) Barnes; niece, Kim (Kelly) Hayes; nephews, Barry (Barbara) Barnes, Mark and Bryan Barnes; and cousin, Julie Thrush. Family will receive friends at SCHOEDINGER HILLTOP CHAPEL, 3030 W. Broad St. Tuesday, June 19, 2007 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. A graveside service will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Wesley Chapel Cemetery. Patty lived on Sullivant Avenue in west Columbus, the home of her parents Blanche and Roscoe Barnes. She attended John Burroughs Elementary School as a child and later West High School.
Her extended family was always important to her. Patty was a good natured, caring and fun loving individual.
