Felton ─ Mrs. Stella May Hawkes, wife of Rybern C. Hawkes, this place, died at 6 o'clock Saturday evening at her home. She was 55.
Surviving are these children: Mrs. Roy Cox, Pylesville, Md.; Robert Hawkes, Comers' Rock, Va.; George Hawkes, Manchester, Pa.; Mrs. David Newcomer and James Hawkes, both of York RD 7; Mrs. Elvin Folckomer, Windsor; Mrs. John Brown, White Hall, Md.; Edward Hawkes, Felton, and Smith and Carson Hawkes, both at home. She also leaves these brothers and sisters; Clinton Hackler, Hampstead, Md., Mrs. Ada Funk, Staunton, Va.; Mrs. Cora Boone, Speedwell, Va., and Mrs. Bud Hackler, Comers' Rock, Va.
Brief funeral services will be conducted at the late home at 7 o'clock this evening. Rev. L.P. Markley, pastor of the local EUB church, will officiate. Further services will be conducted at Speedwell, Va., and interment will be made in a cemetery at that place. The body was prepared for burial by Funeral Director Purd Riedel, Dallastown, Pa.
