Imogene Irene (Acton) Elston was the daughter of Otto and Olive Blanche Brant Acton. She married Clarence Lester Elston on October 18, 1931, and from this union was born four sons: Clarence Lester (Jay) Elston, Jr., Kenneth Eugene Elston, Paul LeRoy Elston, and Jack Latell Elston. Clarence and Imogene spent multiple years in the ministry of the Church Of The Nazarene, serving churches in Illinois, Oklahoma, and Michigan. Imogene perfected the busy roles of being a mother and pastor's wife standing along side of her husband through their years of ministry. She fell ill during 1995 and underwent dialysis for renal failure several months until her death. She died in her home on the Nazarene Camp Ground in Howell, Michigan, with her son, Ken, and husband by her side. The cause of death was Acute Myacardial infarcation, congestive heart failure, and end-stage renal failure.
