Francis Rayfield "Frank" Sterling… he and his father Leo dreamed of growing orange trees.

Francis Rayfield Frank Sterling was born 20 May 1912 in Blenheim, Chatham-Kent, Ontario, Canada; and was the son of Leo Bernadine and Ethel May Lowden Sterling. He was the grandson of (paternal) George Edward and Mary Amelia Naylon Sterling and (maternal) Hiram and Naomi Bush Lowden.

Frank's father Leo was a farm laborer, and they both had a hope to one day own their own citrus orchard growing mostly oranges, and were known to be striving for this dream to be fulfilled. Frank was not married and the dream he had with his father Leo never materialized. On 29 May 1930 in Otterville, South Harwich Township, Oxford County, Ontario, Canada Frank was struck by an automobile and he passed instantly due to complications. It was a very somber time for the family, and Leo continued to carry their dream forward of verdant fields where he could grow oranges. Frank was very loved and missed, and his own dream was never able to materialize. Perhaps now they both have their orchards together in Heaven.

May Frank rest in the arms of our Saviour and Lord Jesus Christ. I'd like to think he and his father are walking with the Lord in their verdant fields and richly blessed citrus orchards. Sleep well Frank, and may all your dreams come true.
