married(2) : 4-14-1976, Monterey CA / Doris M. Day (divorced 1982)
Barry Comden, 74, passed away peacefully in Los Angeles due to heart failure. He was sitting in bed, clicker in hand, we believe watching the Laker game.
One time husband to Sandy Comden and Doris Day, Barry continued living the rest of his life as the quintessential bachelor. Just the way he liked it. Barry's larger than life charisma, acerbic sense of humor and quick wit will be sorely missed by most, but definitely not by all. Barry will be fondly remembered for his great storytelling. He'd leap at the opportunity to share his infamous personal escapades to anybody who would listen, even to those who wouldn't. And when he was finished, he'd certainly let you know, by abruptly walking out or simply hanging up on you...his signature move. Barry was a true one of a kind.
