ABBEVILLE - Services for Francis "Fran" James Plaisance Jr., 27, will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at Vincent Funeral Home with Rev. Antoine Valdeterro and Rev. Randy Barras, friend of the family, officiating. Interment will be in St. Paul Cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. with a 6 p.m. rosary at the funeral home, which will reopen Saturday from 8 a.m. until the time of services.
"Fran" died Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2002, in Baton Rouge."Fran" was a loving son, brother and friend to all, and had a passion for music.
He is survived by his father, Francis J. Plaisance Sr. of Abbeville; his mother, Vana Johnson Plaisance of Abbeville; his sister, Ladessa Carol LeBlanc, and her husband, Corey, of Lafayette; his paternal grandfather, Galton Plaisance of Abbeville; his paternal grandmother, Lois Plaisance of Abbeville; his maternal grandmother, Sarah Crowe of Hopkinsville, Ky.; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Pallbearers will be Jarod and Neil Hebert, Corey LeBlanc, Jason Meaux and Joshua Vice.
Honorary pallbearers will be Johnny Alleman, Ardley Kern, Vernon Sonnier, Charles Marceaux, Joseph Lormand and Chad Vice.
