Chrissie Burgess Hope was traveling with her maternal grandmother, Susan Robertson Burgess for a visit to England as second class passengers aboard the Empress of Ireland. Chrissie was the daughter of Robert and Eliza and the younger sister of Dorothy and Ethel. The two were lost in the sinking and grandmother Susan's body was recovered.
