Juliana is the daughter of Fredrick Lattimer Wells Swain and his wife, Thora Victoria Jensen. Juliana married Hubert Francis Anderson in Peoria, Illinois, 25 Jun 1927. They are the parents of 5 children: Margaret Carol who died in infancy, Swain Edward Anderson of Ohio, Illinois, Thora Lorena (Mrs. Willis Smith) of Dixon, Illinois, Carol Margaret (Mrs. James Titlow) of Kewanee, Illinois, and Freda Maude Anderson who died in Jun of 1957.
Finding herself widowed with 4 young children, Juliana returned to school completing the bookkeeping course at Coppins Business School in Dixon, Illinois. Juliana worked at the Buick Dealership and Garage in Dixon, and the State of Illinois in Springfield. In the early 1960's, Juliana spent a brief time in California returning to Illinois and her children and grandchildren in 1964. Juliana died at Perry Memorial Hospital in Princeton. She had been a patient at Walnut Manor prior to her hospitalization.
