Charles "Charlie" Adkisson, 59, of Desha died on Sunday, November 13, 2005 in Batesville.

He was born on October 29, 1946 in Batesville and was the son of Lorenzo Evans Adkisson and Zelma Merl (Fitzsimmons) Adkisson Fudge. He was of the Baptist faith and a member of the VFW. He had owned Charlie's Body Repair since 1968. He was devoted to his business. Charlie graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School. He enjoyed watching car races and fishing. Charlie always had a joke and he loved people and was a friendly person. Charlie also liked getting his way. He got a coffee mug for his birthday that said, "I get a little grizzly if I don't get my way."

Charles is survived by his wife of 36 years, Dana (Partee) Adkissson; a daughter, RaJeana Adkisson of Batesville; and a brother, Carl Adkisson of Russellville.

Other survivors include his aunt, Lauretta Coleman and one niece.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his aunts, Margie Reid and Thelma Fitzsimmons McDonald.

Pallbearers will be Charles Coe, Frankie Abernathy, Jamie Case, Lonnie Mitchell, Glen Wood, Angello Romey, Kirk Hicks, and Gary Bridgman. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Bob Slaughter, Dr. James Stalker, Judge John Norman Harkey, Larry Jackson and Johnny Gilpatrick.

Funeral services will be on Thursday at 2:00 p.m. in the Roller-Crouch Funeral Home Chapel with Ralph Wallis officiating.

Visitation will be on Wednesday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Interment will be at Marcella Cemetery under the direction of Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Batesville. (870) 793-4161.
