Suddenly on Wednesday, November 27, 2002 at the St. Catharines General Hospital, at 77 years of age. Beloved wife of the late Maximo. Dear Mang of Zenaida and her husband Dominador Ebana, Teresita and her husband Julian Balisi all of the Philippines. Maximo Jr. and wife Janeth and R. Jaime both of St. Catharines, stepdaughter Umerlinda and husband Alberto de Leon of the United States and step son Dominador and wife Remia Dela Vega of the Philippines. Dear Lola of her grandchildren and great grandchildren of Canada, United States and the Philippines. Dear Sister of Victoria, Alfredo and Santos of the United States and her brother Daniel of the Philippines. Also survived by 2 sisters in law, and 1 brother in law in the Philippines. Predeceased by her daughter Carmen Miclat and her sister Pastora. Mrs. Dela Vega was the Vice President of the Legion of Mary.
Mrs. Dela Vega is resting at the George Darte North Chapel, 585 Carlton St. until Tuesday at 9:30 am. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated in the Cathedral of St. Catherine of Alexandria at 10:00 am. Rite of committal in Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Vigil prayers for the deceased will be held in the funeral home on Monday at 7:00 pm. Visiting hours are Saturday, Sunday and Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm.
